Biomaterials and biotechnology

This research theme focuses on the design, engineering, and characterization of biomaterials and bioactive scaffolds to recreate physiologically relevant neural microenvironments in vitro. Advanced fabrication and functionalization strategies are used to support neuronal growth, organization, and function, enabling robust models of healthy and pathological neural tissue for neuroengineering and translational research.
