In vitro data analysis

This research topic focuses on the computational analysis of electrophysiological data recorded from in vitro neuronal networks, primarily using Micro-Electrode Array (MEA) platforms. Methods are developed to characterize spontaneous and evoked activity, functional connectivity, and emergent network dynamics in 2D and 3D neuronal cultures. Particular attention is given to the identification of disease-related network phenotypes, the quantification of activity patterns, and the investigation of how cellular composition, connectivity, and experimental conditions shape collective dynamics. Data-driven analyses are closely integrated with mechanistic models to support interpretation and hypothesis testing.
